Recently in Baghdad, an Iraqi tennis coach and two of his players were shot to death because they were wearing shorts. That's right, shorts! Guess who the perpetrators were? The Islamofascists. Associated Press writes:
The men were killed Wednesday, a week after the warning was issued in leaflets distributed in southwest Baghdad.
An official of the Iraqi Tennis Union says gunmen stopped the car the athletes were riding in and asked them to step out before shooting them.
The coach was Sunni and the two players were Shiite.
It was the second attack against athletes in just over a week. A taekwondo team was kidnapped in western Iraq on May 17. The 15 athletes were members of a sports club that hopes to one day send athletes to the Olympics.
What is wrong with the killers? Everything. From their twisted interpretation of their so-called holy texts to their unhealthy Weltenschaaung. From their incurable lunacy to their outrageous lack of fashion sense. And lack of playfulness, I may add. Not only do they hate sports attire that exposes a lot of skin, but they hate all sports, period.
I'm not a big lover of sports as I am a big lover of beauty pageants. I have been following pageants for nearly thirty years and I can tell you that I have never heard of a beauty pageant that does not include a swimsuit competition. Even Miss America, which does not consider itself a beauty pageant but a scholarship pageant (read: you don't have to be pretty to win) has always had a swimsuit event. In virtually every beauty pageant, the contestants are given the option to wear a one-piece or a two-piece. There is never the option to wear a loose swimwear (you know, the kind that does not touch your genitalia). When a British Iraqi Muslim woman, Sarah Mendly, was participating in the Miss England 2005 contest, she opted to wear a one-piece swimsuit with a sarong - a swimwear that might be considered traditional or conservative by those who have been accustomed to wearing a bikini. Despite Mendly's "modest" swimwear, Muslim leaders in Britain called for Mendly's withdrawal from the pageant. Mendly eventually won and represented England in Miss World.
Islamic countries have been sending beautiful young women to international beauty pageants, and several Muslim women have won international beauty titles, such as Lebanon's Georgina Rizk (Miss Universe 1971) who, by the way, chose to wear a two-piece see-through harem pants (left photo); Turkey's Azra Akin (Miss World 2002) who wore a two-piece swimwear (center photo) and Afghanistan's Vida Samadzai who caused international sensation when she wore a two-piece red bikini in Miss Earth 2003 (right photo):
Although Samadzai did not win Miss Earth 2003, she did receive a special award called "Beauty For A Cause." In Miss Universe 2005, Indonesia's Artika Sari Devi wore a one-piece swimsuit and made the top 15, despite protests from angry Islamofascists in her country. Samadzai and Devi truly deserve a medal of courage for defying their Islamofascist detractors, more so that the two women come from countries where Islam has a stronghold on people's lives unlike Lebanon (which is very Western) or Turkey (which is a secularized society). But the point is, no matter where a woman lives, or whether she's pretty or ugly, she should have the fundamental right to wear whatever she pleases.
Warm Welcome for Sharia Swimsuit
"Oh my, God! Her legs are exposed!"
Okay, I'm back after a hiatus for three weeks. I have been following news in MSM and in my favorite blogs, so I am not really out of the loop so to speak. Let me see - apart from the continuing debates on immigration reforms in the U.S., the only other issue that continues to interest me is Islamofascism. We all know that any democracy is a potential haven for terrorists, and that in virtually every democratic country you will find mosques where radical imams preach hatred towards non-believers. Today's edition of The Times reports that U.K. Muslim students who wish to be imams are "being taught to despise unbelievers as filth." But the students are protesting this insipid doctrine:
MUSLIM students training to be imams at a British college with strong Iranian links have complained that they are being taught fundamentalist doctrines which describe nonMuslims as “filth”.
The Times has obtained extracts from medieval texts taught to the students in which unbelievers are likened to pigs and dogs. The texts are taught at the Hawza Ilmiyya of London, a religious school, which has a sister institution, the Islamic College for Advanced Studies (ICAS), which offers a degree validated by Middlesex University.
The students, who have asked to remain anonymous, study their religious courses alongside the university-backed BA in Islamic studies. They spend two days a week as religious students and three days on their university course.

Bravo for the students for realizing that Islam is not entirely a peaceful religion. One thing that is equally bothersome is that these students are also being taught to despise animals such as dogs and pigs because they are "unclean" along with "urine, faeces, semen, carrion, blood of carrion, dogs, pigs, disbelievers." Any reasonable modern thinker and proponents of alternative medicine will tell you that urine has medical benefits, that having a pet can extend your life, and that women who swallow their lovers' semen may prevent ovarian cancer and depression. What is gross to many may be tasty to some!
So I guess based on the observations above, it is safe to assume that we - the "filthy disbelievers" - are far more open to scientific and medical explorations than your average Islamo and Islamette.
Islam has not been an entirely oppressive religion, at least not in terms of imagination, creativity and ingenuity. To celebrate a new exhibition in Manchester that focuses on Muslim heritage, the British newspaper The Independent published an interesting article, "How Islamic inventors changed the world" that discusses the twenty most influential innovations produced by Arab/Islamic men (sorry, no women mentioned). Among these innovations include coffee, pinhole camera, chess, soap, distillation, crank-shaft, quilting, the pointed arch, windmill, fountain pen, mathematics, rocket and gardens for meditation. Not bad.

But why is it that there have been no great Muslim/Arab inventions in the last 100 years?
Arab-American psychologist Wafa Sultan may have the answer.
How to regain your passion and save your Western values
By God! Don't you see that all these Ousamas Bin Ladens consider themselves authorized to kill you and your children because you drink alcohol, because you don't grow the long beard and refuse the chador or the burkah, because you go to the theater and to the movies, because you love music and sing a song, because you dance and watch television, because you wear the miniskirt or the shorts, because on the beach and by the swimming pool you sunbathe almost naked or naked, because you make love when you want and with whom you want, or because you don't believe in God!? I am an atheist, thank God. And I have no intention of being punished for this by retrograde bigots who, instead of contributing to the improvement of humanity, salaam and squawk prayers five times a day. - The Rage and The Pride
Have you read a good book lately? I mean a really good one. If you haven't, I strongly recommend The Rage and the Pride by Oriana Fallaci, an Italian journalist whose claim to fame was interviewing some of the world's most loathsome personalities that included the Ayatollah Khomeini, Yasser Arafat, Henry Kissinger and Nazi scientist Werner Von Braun.
I had heard about Fallaci in my early years as an undergraduate at U.C. Berkeley, but I never paid attention to her. I had seen video footage of her interviewing Kissinger and Arafat, but those interviews hardly left any impression on me. But now, twenty years later, she has become my essential Italian Iron Lady, my vital hunting goddess Diana. Her book - an attack on fundamentalist Islam, on Islamic terrorists, on Muslim immigrants in Italy, on anti-Americanism, and on anything else that she feels is a threat to Western culture - reeks of grand sincerity and sublime passion. Suddenly, I found myself agreeing and sympathizing with most of Fallaci's woes - which is a bit daunting, I may add. Have I become anti-Islamic? Have I become less tolerant of other people's beliefs? Have I, a product of liberal California education and self-imposed Francophilia, turned into an illiberal "Mass(achusetts)hole" and deluded enlightened despot? It can't be. It is my nature to defend the underdog, to give voice to the voiceless; but for some reason, I have now become selective. I can now not choose to defend those who only think of converting the whole world to Islam. Is this prejudice? Is this racism? Is this xenophobia? Or am I simply being hysterical like Oriana?

I remember, my first contact with Muslims was during my graduate years at Stanford in the late 1980s when I attended a talk; I can't even remember what it was about, but it was religious in nature. I was debating with a Muslim fellow (I wasn't sure if he was a student) about his religion and my religion (I was a "born-again charismatic Catholic" at that time). All I remembered about him was the fire in his eyes, how stubborn and condescending he was, and how I felt uncomfortable standing next to him. He, of course, never succeeded in converting me. I wasn't interested in converting him as much as I was in debating with him. A similar incident happened a year later - this time when I was teaching English as a second language at the University of San Francisco. One of my students - a male Muslim - became erratic when I started to comment on Islam. I was utterly oblivious as to why he reacted so vehemently. Now - after having read Fallaci - I understand why. That student had wanted me to shut up and that I should have never made any comment on his religion. Like the other fellow, this one also had fire in his eyes. Fanatical Muslims have passion because they believe in what they believe passionately - and passion is something that the West lacks, especially in the area of studying and learning about world religions.
The West has been lacking passion since dysfunctional multiculturalism - with its emphasis on blind tolerance and misguided liberalism - took over institutions of higher learning and over political and social realms. Authentic, sincere human discourse is now monitored - appallingly and unconstitutionally - and replaced by carefully fabricated language so as to avoid offending marginalized segments of the population. Fallaci's discourse is anything but reverend, and rightly so. Critics who accuse her of hysteria have failed to embrace the bond between emotions and essence; history cannot be if it is devoid of passion. Thus, Fallaci's hysteria was, is and will be the essence of her experience. So let the woman yell Fuck you! as many times as she wants until the last Muslim has left sunny Tuscany and the last yellow streaks of Muslim urine and last traces of Muslim feces have been completely washed away from the Cathedral Square of Florence - "My city."
George Gurley, who writes for The New York Observer, describes the Angry Little Book as "a passionate cry in which she [Fallaci] accuses the West of being blind to the true threat of Islam." People who hate Fallaci obviously are culturally and literally deprived folks whose intellectual blood has been dried up by the leeches of complacency. You say, "I don't have any problem with Muslims so long as they don't bother me." The only type of Muslims who will not bother you are false Muslims, because the true ones passionately believe in killing non-Muslims and anyone else who opposes their diabolical aim to dominate the world. First it was Marxism, then Nazism, then Communism, and now militant Islamofascism. All these isms do not separate public and private affairs. Is this what you want? It's a cultural war, you fool! It's our values against theirs. So if you want to fight for your values, do it passionately! Pick up the Angry Little Book and shove it up your enemy's ass! Fight like you've never fought before! Fight for Hollywood, even if you hate them at this moment! Fight for decent and rational Muslims (yes, there are some) even if they dislike you! Fight for your freedom to shave your beard, your freedom to wear a Victoria's Secret stretch lace teddy, your freedom to eat and drink Danish. Fight! Fight! Fight!
Now relax. Take a deep breath. Focus. Misguided anti-war hooligans continue to ignore the real enemy. Now be hysterical and yell at these blundering idiots, "Enough of peaceful slumber! Wake up and smell the Danish!" Then pass out copies of the Angry Little Book. Don't worry if they gang up on you and call you names like "imperialist pig" and "racist scumbag". You should be proud that they are free to say whatever they want - and that's the only thing that matters.
